With such dramatic change comes upheaval in the media labor force.  The smart ones know that to remain a relevant participant in the media field, they need to possess a cutting-edge knowledge of their current skill sets and broaden the range of their expertise.

David Ryan

David RyanDavid is a member of the sales and marketing team at Video Labs, which is based in Rockville, Maryland, USA.

David offers solutions for his customers’ diverse media replication and related multimedia needs. 

Regardless of the order size, David provides quality detailed service to every customer. 

Clients have come to rely on David’s ability to manage their technically-complex and time-sensitive projects.

David is a veteran of the media field.

Prior to joining Video Labs, he served in a variety of staff and independent production roles, ranging from series producer to live multi-camera director to company VP for production.

And throughout his media career, David has been involved in sales and marketing activities.

With on-going study, (and patience by his Latino friends), David is close to reaching his lifetime goal of being fluent in Spanish.

 

 

Leslye PJ Reaves

Leslye PJ ReavesLeslye owns and runs reflection:digital, a multimedia design studio which specializes in serving artists, small businesses and non-profits.  She is also an award-winning independent filmmaker.
 
Previously, Leslye worked on the staff at the John Hopkins University Digital Media Center as a Digital Video Specialist.  There she was responsible for teaching and creating curriculum for non-credit workshops in video production and post-production as well as multimedia development.

 Leslye has taught courses in computer art, digital video production and web site design for both Johns Hopkins University and California State University, East Bay.   She has a B.A. in Film, with a Computer Science minor, from Howard University and a Master’s in Multimedia from California State University, Hayward. 

Her film and media work have been shown at the Women of Color Film Festival in Berkeley, CA, at exhibitions by the Film Arts Foundation in San Francisco, CA, at the DC Arts Center, in Washington, DC, the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, MD, the Naro Expanded Cinema in Norfolk, VA and throughout the web.  She is the co-director of a documentary investigation the phenomenon of online communities, wtf: an okaymentary.
